Gamelan refers to a host of musical ensembles found primarily throughout the Indonesian islands of Java and Bali. These groups are typically comprised of metalophones, drums, gongs, and bamboo flutes, and the music is often used to accompany elaborate, ritualistic choreographies.

Join the Manitoba Indonesian Society and the musicians and dancers of Sanggar Seni Budaya GKPB for an evening of gamelan music, dance, food, and more! The program will feature traditional music and choreography from one of the world’s most vibrant cultural centers, Bali, Indonesia. The price of admission also includes a banquet style meal, showcasing the culinary flavours of this vast archipelago nation!
